Batteries often contain lead and mercury-both toxins that should not be placed in the trash or landfill. ACDEM offers household battery recycling to Allen County residents free of charge. For questions, call 260-449-4433.

While supplies last, free battery recycling containers are available at each location! Limit of one per Allen County household.

Remember

• Each battery must be taped with clear tape on both ends.
• Limit of 5 pounds of batteries per resident per month.
• DO NOT store batteries in bulk - this is a fire hazard.
• Alkaline, Lithium, Lithium Ion, and Rechargeable batteries are accepted. Please contact 260-449-4433 for information regarding other battery types.
