Allen County, Indiana – On Thursday, November 9, 2023, Allen County Surveyor Mike Fruchey was presented with the Master Road Builder Award from Purdue University’s Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP). The award signifies that Fruchey successfully completed 12 core courses and had 300 professional development hours.
According to their website, the mission of Purdue’s LTAP program is to foster a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound transportation system by improving the skills and knowledge of local transportation providers through training, technical assistance, and technology transfer. Jennifer Sharkey from Purdue LTAP presented the award to Fruchey during an Allen County Drainage Board meeting.
About the award and Fruchey’s accomplishment, Commissioner Rich Beck shared, “Mike’s decision to expand his knowledge through this continuing education course shows his commitment to his department, to his field, and to the people of Allen County. We are enriched by his diligence to improve, learn, and grow.”
